·  Cork Autograss Racing Club was formed in 1998, and race in their venue in   Castletown-Kinneigh, Enniskean, Co. Cork, Ireland. At the moment they have 80+ Members, whether it is to drive or helping out on the days racing. Autograss racing  caters for all the family, One car can be driven by Father, Mother, and Junior driver, (12  to 16 year's Girl or Boy) in separate races on the same day, So a fun day can be had by all the family. Autograss is the most affordable way of going motor racing. You can race competitively for an initial outlay of   € 600  or less. The tracks are oval in shape, with two long straight lengths joined by wide corners. The surface is natural, either grass/ mud or gravel/shale. The track is enclosed by Armco railing and steel rope fencing, and catch fences are provided for spectator safety. To race one requires a licence provided by  National Autograss Sports Association (NASA) the governing body for Autograss racing in Ireland. The following categories are available

(a) Men’s  licence (available to both men and women)Women's licence

 (b) Women’s only

(c) Junior licence for Girl or Boy 12 to 16 years old)

Racing is broken down into 10 classes of vehicles, ranging from virtually standard Minis to purpose built, supercharged, V8 'specials'. There is a class for every pocket depth and driving experience. Clubs welcome everyone to their meetings. If you don't want to race there are many ways in which you can be involved. Clubs always require marshals, lap scorers and Pit controllers. Autograss has evolved from a form of racing, known as Jalopy racing, that was popular in the 1970s. Natural surfaces have not always been used to race on. Indeed an off-shoot of Autograss, still races on gravel/shale tracks in the south of the England (SEGTO) The sports governing body is The National Autograss Sports Association. It is a democratic body whose committee is made up only of people who have been league chairmen. Ensuring that those in charge are never far from the grass roots of the sport, indeed many of the members still compete regularly.
